Sports & Leisure
The Nahri Indigenous Sports Engagement program is a relationship strategy centered on the principles that engagement through sport and the building of mutual respect and trust can provide a cultural gateway to alternative and positive lifestyles. Our program recognizes that in today’s world many young indigenous people face a number of interrelated problems, including poverty, lack of education, crime, unemployment, substance abuse, low self-esteem and low aspirations. This program will tackle these problems using sport to educate and develop life skills that are transferable into other aspects of life.
